Surprise, surprise

I did an assesment today with a client who might be described as a hippy. Very into the drug and drop-out culture.

She addressed me as man. She told me I was very chilled out.

Thought this might be the blog you check first for comments, Matthew. Just discovered your blog on pre-wrath rapture and other end-times issues.

I'm delighted to see so many long articles put in and will hopefully get some opportunities to study them.

I lean more towards those views myself, as a result of the writings of some of the early brethren, but tend not to see such views expressed today. Hence how pleased I was to find the blog.

God bless

Glad you liked that.

You should bear in mind that most of the material was written when I held the classic post-tribulational view.

Will bear that in mind Matthew.

For interest's sake, is there a point - date - in the blog record where your view was changed, and reasons given for the change?

God bless

Matthew, as to the content of your post: that is probably the case with many drug abusers, I would think: throw backs to the "hippy" frame of mind?

I changed my mind in the autumn of 2007 (I think). I might have said something about it on Sensational Bible Prophecies.

I changed my mind after considering the possibility that the seals, trumpets and vials might be consecutive rather than overlapping.

My post-tribulationalism depended upon the seals, trumpets and vials being non-consecutive.

It was clear to me that the rapture occurred at the gathering of Matthew 24 which I believed clearly occurred at the sixth seal. If the trumpets and vials occurred after the sixth seal, then I had to revise my eschatological chronology and thus adopt the Pre-Wrath version of post-tribulationalism.

Every Blessing in Christ

Rose, most drug users I have met are not hippies. Just bored people who want to have fun or deal with the stuff they are going through.
