I am in Hastings, East Sussex

I moved to Hastings, East Sussex today until I find a job somewhere. I have never lived on the coast before.

It was a four hour drive. The longest I have driven before.

Homework for American readers is to learn about the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

That was the battle where the Danes were beat by the Anglo-Saxons... I think

I'll probably have to look that up actually.

Actually it was the French-speaking Normans who beat the Anglo-Saxons.

The Danes did beat the Anglo-Saxons, but that was at least an hundred years earlier. The Danes had lost their hegemony by the time of the Norman conquest.

But thanks for having a go.

God Bless

Hey Matt - hope you find a job real soon. Hope you will settle in a church there and have opportunities to keep preaching. Good luck if you've interviews coming up. Dave

Thanks for the encouragement, Mae.

This morning I am trying the nearest church, which is supposed to be Pentecostal.

I hope to attend a Brethren assembly this evening.

God Bless
