Franziskaner

My knowledge and experience of German beers is very limited, but one German beer that I have tried and really like is Franziskaner (Franciscan).

This is a wheat beer with a strong taste of apples. Definitely one of the best wheat beers I have tried.

Have you not tried Frazikaner?

You like Guinness. Very good. Have you tried the red Guinness?

If you like German beer and you ever get the chance you should try Veltins. I think it is one of the best German beers made.

Thanks for the recommendation.

To answer your question: I think I have tried Franziskaner, but it must be a long time ago; if I like to drink a "Hefeweizen" (uh, what is this in english? wheat beer would not be exact what it means ...) I prefer Schöfferhofer:

Veltins isn't bad either.
Because of a health problem (my body can't handle too much carbonate) I don't drink that much beer, but if I drink a beer I like the black ones (Guinnes and also Donnersberger, http://www.biertest-online.de/grafik/gebindegross/bischoff_donnersberger_schwarzbier.jpg)
But I never tried the red Guinnes.
