A magnigicent angel image.
This picture reminds me of a comment made by Tim Warner about the second coming of our Lord. If you read the article you will see what I mean- The Sheep and Goats Parable-Who Will Repopulate the Earth?

We do not read much in Scripture about the love of angels. So perhaps it seems surprising that Burne Jones has portrayed love in the form of an angel. I suppose a good verse on the love of angels might be Hebrews 1:
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
or perhaps (again bringing up children again):
10 ¶ Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
Nevertheless, we cannot doubt that angels do love. They dwell in the presence of God who is love. They have experienced for longer than we have the communion of love within the Trinity and this must surely have shaped their existence.
Like the angels we are also called to be God's ministers. Perhaps we, living in this world of despair and suffering are in a far better position than the angels to show love through our deeks of kindness and compassion.
1 Let brotherly love continue.
2 Be not fogtful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
1 Thessalonians 3
12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
13 to the end he may stablish your hearts unblamable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
